Danny’s BBQ Stand
Danny Jones, Charleston’s longest-serving mayor of 16 years opened this restaurant. Serving up everything from barbeque ribs, chicken, pork, salads and soup. You’ll want to make sure you try his signature side, smoked potato salad. Danny began working in restaurants in the mid-60’s at the old Sterling restaurant and then opened his first restaurant in 1974. The restaurant seats a few dozen people in the front and back of the building. Inside on the walls are newspaper articles, photos and memorabilia hanging to showcase Jones’ history in Charleston, West Virginia.
